The La Leche League International mission is: To help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

The Broward County La Leche League groups provide support for mothers and families in our area, through monthly meetings and our 24-hour breastfeeding support phone line.

Meetings in Broward County

LLL Series meetings rotate through four main topics, but always cover new ground as the moms in attendance share their experiences, and as different aspects of each topic are explored.

Membership

Although meeting attendance and phone support are always free, La Leche League groups are primarily supported via La Leche League Memberships. Your annual dues bring you six bi-monthly issues of New Beginnings, a magazine filled with stories, hints, and inspiration from other breastfeeding families. Members receive our LLLI catalogues by mail and are entitled to a 10% discount on most purchases from the wide variety of outstanding books and publications on breastfeeding, childbirth, nutrition, and parenting.

It's easy to join at your local meeting, and the La Leche League International site has further information on ways to join.
