It is important to know that breastfeeding is a learned art and, like childbirth, is much easier with preparation, knowledge and encouragement.

Our meetings are informal discussions led monthly by women who have happily and successfully breastfed their own children and have subsequently been accredited by La Leche League International. The Meetings are open to any women interested in the art of breastfeeding. All children are welcome. We have many books about breastfeeding, parenting, childbirth and nutrition in our library for loan. Bring a healthy snack to share if you would like.

Cape Coral

When?	3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
Where?	Cape Coral Hospital Birthing Center Waiting Room located in Women's Center on 2nd floor

Leader Information

Accredited Leaders are experienced breastfeeding mothers and are familiar with research and current findings dealing with breastfeeding. They offer practical information and moral support to nursing mothers through monthly meetings and telephone help. The mission of La Leche League International is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.
